Location: Sheffield (S9) commutable from Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, Chesterfield
Salary up to 25,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract type: Temporary – 12 months Contract
Our client is a world leader in supplying total engineering packages to solve industry's needs. As the world's largest independently owned forgemaster, they specialise in a broad range of heavy steel forgings and steel castings as well as stocking steel ingot and bar.
Our client are now looking for an IT Engineer to provide first line remote and field based support to an extensive user base across a widespread site. Reporting to the Senior IT Engineer the successful candidate will play a key part in the smooth running of the IT support operation. Key responsibilities will include making sure issues are dealt with in a timely manner, to a high standard and carried out in line with safe working practices. This will include logging support calls, hardware and software installation, network cabling and patching as well as Purchase and inventory control of consumables.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a relevant role, with good knowledge of hardware / software including all versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
Our client is looking for an excellent team player, who can communicate at all levels. An IT related qualification and ERP experience would be desirable for the role.
25 days annual leave plus the 8 statutory days, 33 days in total. They provide a stakeholder pension scheme with up to 4% Employers contribution.
