This is an exciting time for HM Land Registry as we aim to become the world's leading land registry for speed, simplicity and an open approach to data. We are now looking for a Specialist Infrastructure Engineer (Security Administration) to help us with our investment in delivering efficient and professional services to our customers. 

We need dynamic, resourceful and ambitious individuals to join the Digital, Data and Technology teams and contribute to transforming HMLR from the highly efficient, productive and respected organisation it is now into the responsive, innovative and exceptional organisation it will become. 

The successful candidate will have experience in the use of Windows Server 2008 or later and have experience in one of either areas; Active Directory; Group Policy; NTFS Security or Linux.

The Digital, Data and Technology Directorate is the in-house IT division for HMLR. Our teams are at the heart of HMLR's move to more agile delivery of cutting-edge digital services while maintaining our excellent system availability to our customers.

Qualifications

Holds a qualification in Information Technology or a related area (Degree Level or equivalent) or experience in an IT field.

Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is security check.

Selection process details

At shortlisting stage your application will be considered against the examples and evidence demonstrating the essential criteria for the role. These criteria, the desirable criteria and the competencies may all be tested at later stages during the selection process. 

The final selection stage will consist of a competency based interview on the competencies listed on the job description and a pre-prepared presentation. 

Feedback will only be provided if you attend an interview or assessment.

Further information

*About the salary: For existing civil servants where a level transfer occurs existing salary will be honoured. Where this falls below the Land Registry minimum the minimum will be paid. When Land Registry maximum is exceeded existing salary will be retained on a mark-time basis. 
An individual joining Land Registry on promotion from another government department / agency will be placed on the minimum of the higher pay range.

Current Land Registry apprentices are eligible to apply for all stages of recruitment competition. Current apprentices who are successful in gaining a new post within Land Registry will continue with the apprenticeship studies where possible until completion of the Apprenticeship Framework.
