The Department of IT Services has recently restructured its operation to align to a lifecycle-based approach to service delivery comprising Service Planning & Governance, Service Design & Delivery, and Service Operation & Support. It is adopting a service culture based on ITIL best practice and has embarked on an ambitious and exciting portfolio of technology-enabled projects to support the University's 2020 Strategy.

The Enterprise IT Services team are responsible for designing and delivering the Enterprise services, such as finance and HR systems, required to ensure the university operates effectively.

About the role

This role plays a key part in being responsible for the design, delivery and third line support of enterprise services such as the finance and HR systems as well as business process management and document management services.

About you (requirements)

You will have experience in the installation, design, configuration, operation and support of Finance systems (or other complex Systems of Record) for a mid-sized organisation. Familiarity with business process management, intranet, HR or ancillary financial systems would be advantageous. Bath Spa University has a “cloud by default” strategy so familiarity with the state of the Software as a Service market for enterprise systems would also be useful.

You should have experience of working in application environments with varying underlying technologies and will have worked with some of the following technologies; SQL, javascript, web services, Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of business systems such as CODA-Dream, iTrent, Eproc, process automation tools such as Orbis Task Centre, Liquid Office, and reporting tools such as Microsoft Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, Business Objects would all be advantageous.
