***Solihull primary school
***English language or literature graduate
***Min 2:1
***Full time, term time position
***October start
***Easily reachable from Birmingham and Coventry

A primary school located in the heart of Solihull has approached Edustaff to help recruit a Graduate Learning Support Assistant/TA. The position is most suited to a graduate with a degree in English or English Literature with either a 2:1 or 1st. The position is available from (October) and will run until Easter next year although it is highly likely that the recruited candidate will be with them for the full academic year. The position is working 5 days a week during term time.

Although the school is rated 'Good' by Ofsted, one area of relative weakness they recognise is literacy levels. In order to counter this, they are looking for a Learning Support Assistant/TA with a high level of literacy and proficiency in English to work closely with a small number of pupils across both Key Stages and the Foundation Stage.

The school are looking for candidates that have some previous experience of working with pupils, be that at primary or secondary age, in or outside of the classroom. They need a graduate that is patient, understanding and most importantly someone that can establish a fantastic rapport with the pupils they support. Each day will bring new challenges so it is imperative that the recruited graduate is flexible, can plan effectively and is able to adapt to the ever changing nature of primary education.

The school is a relatively small primary school with close to 350 pupils on the roll. The head teacher has only been with the school for one year but continues to improve the learning environment for both pupils and staff. The school has a fantastic atmosphere and I'm sure it will be a great place to work.

If this LSA/TA opportunity interests you and you're looking to train as a primary teacher in the future then please email a copy of your CV to Patrick at Edustaff
