On Screen Journalist - ITV News Border

6 month Fixed term maternity position
ITV Border is Recruiting
An opportunity for an experienced television journalist to become one of the faces of Cumbria and the South of Scotland as an on-screen journalist with ITV Border.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record in original journalism and great story-telling as well as sound knowledge of broadcast regulation and the law.
High quality self-shooting and editing skills are essential.
To be a successful candidate, you will have a strong background in journalism and a proven track record in producing original stories at a local level. You will have excellent editorial judgement and you will be a first class communicator who can build relationships with contacts to bring in original news stories.
You must be a self-starter who will be willing and enthusiastic about developing camera and editing skills to complement the newsgathering and story-telling skills that you already possess.
We are a multi-platform operation so you will be enthusiastic about developing an online presence through our web sites and via social media interaction.
