Person Specification - Teaching Assistant
This Teaching Assistant role requires a talented and committed graduate who has already worked successfully in a school-based role (on a paid or voluntary basis) and who has earned an upper second class degree or better. My client school want to recruit a graduate Teaching Assistant who has the skills to build rapport quickly, helping them to engage with their colleagues and pupils. You must have a natural ability to mould the next generations minds, both academically and emotionally.
About the Teaching Assistant role
In this KS2 Teaching Assistant post, you will be supporting classes as and when needed within the KS2 phase and you will be working specifically with 'Special Educational Needs' pupils. You will have the chance to lead individual sessions with particularly gifted or challenging pupils and help to run smaller 'booster' groups. As a KS2 Teaching Assistant you will be working hard to ensure you have displayed all the right abilities to secure yourself a place on this school's exceptional School Direct scheme. With CPD on offer to all supporting staff, they have a high success rate of TAs and LSAs going on to start successful teaching careers. For those of you want extra support the Head Teacher is keen to offer you a mentor, who is an "outstanding" Teacher, to evaluate your progress and give you advice whenever you may need it.
