Job Title: Product Administrator

Location: Knaresborough, Harrogate

Salary: Varied depending on experience

Working Hours: 9am - 5:30pm

You will maintain product data in the company's resource planning system as they grow as an international company, ensuring it reflects the status of their product options. You will provide administrative support to the Product and Design team for the daily operational function of the department. Also develop knowledge and understanding of the company's system, ensuring a 'continuous improvement' philosophy is adopted.

Key responsibilities

  • Working with the relevant Product Manager, manage and update the resource planning system, to ensure the product data and information is current and accurate.
  • Working with the relevant Product Manager, set up all new product ranges in the system to support the New Product Introduction process in line with the Project timescales.
  • Support the Product Manager with monthly product and finish options sales reports for regional trend analysis.
  • React promptly to all system updates & maintenance requests from the Product Manager and Production team
  • Ensure all new data entered into the resource planning system is accurate and consistent in its format
  • Work with Customer Care and the Production team to discuss continuous process improvement.
  • Manage and remove obsolete products/options.
  • Complete all works necessary to support international price increases within PDM.
  • Check product data entry input daily by the company's non-standard options team.
  • Create and send purchase order to the company's suppliers

Person Specification:

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Communicates effectively by telephone.
  • Shows ability to multitask and problem solve with strong analytical skills
  • Eye for detail and consistency
  • Uses initiative when prioritising workload
  • Strong team player who can work with a diverse team
  • Proactive and self-motivated with excellent organisational skills'
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects and set priorities.
  • Is inquisitive, thinks logically and conceptually.
  • Can establish priorities and handle many projects.

Experience:

  • Preferable experience in system data maintenance.
  • Preferable experience using an ERP system, for example, NAV dynamics, SAGE, Oracle e-Business suite
  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing/production environment an advantage
