Ebor Academy Trust is a multi-academy trust serving children aged 2 to 16. It is out aspiration to develop geographical hubs of schools that share our values.
We now have a new opportunity for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Easington Church of England Primary Academy. This is a permanent, part time role, working 12.5 hours per week, mornings only.
Working in partnership with Senior staff in the school to develop and undertake work, care and support programmes, you will enable access to learning for pupils whilst assisting the teacher in the management of pupils. Modifying the curriculum and developing resources to support teaching and the use of ICT to support learning, you will cover classes under the direction of the Headteacher and will also assist in rolling out the Read, Write including delivery across the school.
We are looking for someone who has a minimum level 2 literacy and numeracy qualification, coupled with experience of working with children in a supportive capacity. With experience of modifying or developing resources to support teaching, you will be a competent user of ICT, and will have a full working knowledge of school policies relating to health and safety, behaviour, attendance, equal opportunities and child protection.
Strong organisational skills are essential, as is having excellent communication skills, being able to communicate with pupils, teachers, parents and relevant others. With a resilience in the face of challenging pupil behaviour, you will be a good team player who can work on their own initiative.
