Our client is now looking to recruit for an Enterprise Advisor to join them to develop, and effectively manage, a portfolio of clients across Greater Manchester to aid and support them in the establishment and sustainability of their own businesses and enterprises.

Providing advice, guidance and support to clients through 1-2-1 sessions and the delivery of business start-up workshops, you will signpost clients onto advice and information services and other key agencies and assist clients in the preparation of a business plan, cash flow forecast and applications for funding. 

Preparing presentations and delivering training sessions (both in-house and externally) to clients (program participants) and customers (external agencies), you must ensure the accurate processing and completion of documentation relating to any ongoing grant/loan schemes and provide support to other enterprise projects being undertaken by the team.  You must also set up and coordinate networking forums for all micro and social enterprises, develop annual KPIs and outcomes and support the growth plan by identifying commercial opportunities.

Candidates for this role must have evidence of Continual Professional Development in Business Development or other relevant area of expertise and a background of working to targets and deadlines.  With experience of working with aspiring, new and existing small businesses (including Voluntary / community and Social Enterprise Sector) in a support / advisory role and / or experience of setting up and running own business, you will have knowledge of approaches to marketing services to aspiring, new and micro businesses and the local business support arena. 

Knowledge and appreciation of key legislative issues impacting on business start-ups, including VAT, H&S, Tax etc. is essential as is the ability to manipulate prepare and analyse financial forecasts and an understanding of Cash Flow, P&L and Balance sheets.
