Technical Services Manager

Your role

• Providing effective, accurate & efficient technical advise and CAD services to both internal & external customers.
• Acting as the interface between other departments such as Technical, Marketing & Architectural Specification Team.
• Developing the team through both professional & personal development.
• Provide/manage accurate performance measurement tools.
• Development & support of the process mapping for this business unit sector.
• Provision of on-going customer segmentation tools and measurement.
• Provision of health and safety compliance to all direct reports as well as supporting all company compliance procedures.
• Displaying excellent personal safety and challenging others when you see unsafe behaviours.
• Continued development of department strategies.

Your skills

• HNC/HND in a relevant discipline e.g. Applied Science, building physics, structural mechanics or Civil Engineering / Or demonstrable sector experience
• Technical credibility through at least one field of the following expertise: Fire, Acoustics, Structural mechanics, Building Physics, Thermal Efficiency
• Good application of technical theory to practical everyday scenarios
• Good understanding of the link between product specification and system performance and how industrial parameters (process, recipe or raw materials specs) can impact on the product & system performance and act accordingly.
• Good knowledge of UK & ROI building regulations, and European standards for building products & systems and constructive modes being able to seize opportunities to capture value our products and systems range.
• Focussed on commercial gain in order to make decisions based on profitability and providing the best offering available for our customers.
• An entrepreneurial spirit - able to go and get it rather than waiting for it to happen.
• Strong IT Skills, Methodical and Organised approach
• People Management & Development focused.
