Director for Learning - Engineering and Construction
Salary: GBP48,000 - GBP52,000 depending on experience
Hours: 37 hours per week
Exciting opportunity to lead the above Directorate on its journey to 'Good'.
As a Director of Learning and member of the Senior Management Team you will lead a diverse team of dedicated and committed staff and will be expected to inspire and instil a culture of high expectations for employees and students alike. The main purpose of your role will be to drive the achievement of high quality teaching and learning across all courses in the Directorate, develop and maintain excellent employer relationships and achieve outstanding student results and high levels of positive destinations for all our students.
Southampton is an exciting city undergoing significant development which we are aligned to supporting with this curriculum offer. This directorate has a unique off site Marine Engineering Facility which with our excellent facilities and resources (we think some of the best in the area) together with an ambitious management team provide an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make an impact.
This role will be attractive to a creative and resilient curriculum manager looking to move up to a college senior leadership role or for an already senior leader looking for a more challenging role. In addition to a minimum of 5 years curriculum management experience you must be a consummate networker with good industrial links and with a successful track record in improving outcomes for learners. It is not necessary to have experience in the engineering and construction industries.
