They currently own and manage over 6000 properties, support over 1600 vulnerable customers in care and supported housing projects and employ nearly 500 people.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join their Mental Health Support Self Direct Service at a time where it is developing and increasing capacity. Our client is one of the providers on the Sheffield Mental Health Recovery Framework and pride themselves on the quality of person centred support delivered. This service offers a range of recovery and preventative focused support to individuals who are awarded self-direct funding. The aim of the service is to build resilience and help individuals to positively develop strategies to enable them to better manage their mental health prevent and promote independence. The service enables people to access mainstream activities within the local communities and may include developing basic living skills, support to return to work, education, or volunteering.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience and knowledge in mental health recovery. They will have the ability to be responsive to the demands of an increasing developing service, coordinating and deploying front line staffing support resources to meet the requirements of the service.
The successful candidate will also be expected to provide on call cover on a rota basis.
2 Positions – 1 X Maternity Cover 12 months, 1 X – 12 months Temporary Position
The key areas of the post are the day to day management of the service and this will involve:-
- Providing sound leadership to ensure staff are clear about their respective duties and responsibilities. Providing the support the staff need to carry out their roles efficiently.
- Having a good understanding of person centred, outcome based care and support provision and achieving excellent outcomes. The ability to write person centred support plan packages when needed.
- Maintaining excellent communication with customers ' relatives and representatives, staff and other health and social care professionals.
- Providing excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
- Ensuring that all aspects of health and safety are managed effectively and working to the legislative requirements
- Ensuring quality assurance systems and processes are followed
- Ensuring that data performance is accurate and evident.
- Promoting the service and managing referrals into the service.
- Planning and scheduling staffing support to meet the needs of the support purchased by the customers.
- Being responsive to customer’s change of needs and identified risks.
- Monitoring the performance of the project to deliver high quality support to customers within budget.
- Assisting the Service Managers in implementing service delivery changes.
- To establish, maintain and develop efficient diary management and team scheduling system.
- To maintain information management systems to ensure the effective running of the team at all times.
- Managing the team you will be able to identify capacity within the workforce and drive efficiencies through regional deployment.

Working Hours: 37 hours. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide on call cover on a rota basis.
