Health and Safety Manager

Our well established Bradford based client are currently looking for a Health & Safety Manager. You`ll be joining a well respected business with a fantastic industry reputation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety manager, with a background in manufacturing and warehouse, to join a company that have been established for over 25 years.

Within the role you will be responsible for overseeing all Health and Safety within the factory and warehouse, promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring the business meets all legal requirements.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Developing the health, safety and environmental policy across all business areas, ensuring all relevant staff are up to date with legislation and have the necessary tools to remain compliant. You`ll play a key part in the development and maintenance of company policies and procedures, as well as ensuring managers are working towards a positive safety culture.

Acting as the first point of contact for all health and safety queries, including fire safety.
Ensuring that best practise information is up to date and shared amongst all.

Monitoring compliance of all health and safety policies and procedures, advising managers on areas of non-compliance as soon as they arise.

Working with managers to ensure all incidents and accidents are investigated, ensuring the minimisation of business liabilities. You`ll also investigate and coordinate any claims.

You`ll also work with local authorities and other external bodies on health and safety issues.

To be shortlisted for an immediate interview, you must match the following criteria:
Qualified to NEBOSH Level 4+/Chartered IOSH membership
Full, clean UK driving licence
Health & Safety experience in a manufacturing & warehouse environment
Sound knowledge of regulatory framework
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Dedicated, results driven attitude
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
