CNC Miller

Ferrositi is an ambitious sub-contract machining company based in Cheltenham. It has the latest in machine tool technology and a stable client base.  

Due to a full order book, it is currently looking to recruit experienced CNC miller setter operator, setter, to work on 3, 4 and 5 axis machines with fanuc, heidenhain and mazatrol controls.

CNC turner programmer setter operator, to work on Mazak and XYZ lathes

Salary; £30-£35k per annum plus overtime.  

Day shift (40 hours p/week)

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Set and operate machines.
• Inspection of own work and that of colleagues.
• Editing of programmes where necessary to improve cycle times or process reliability. 

Experience /skills required:

• Solid engineering background preferably time served. 
• The ability to work effectively under their own initiative and within a team.
• Machining to tight tolerances and in a variety of materials. 
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and the ability to interpret them.
• Previous experience of working within a sub-contract environment where tight deadlines and high quality are the norm.
