We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Supervisor to join our busy Operations Team in Exeter. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will control the daily transport function of 5 drivers and be responsible for ensuring daily product delivery to customers and reducing costs with hired haulage.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
+ Effective maintenance and management of the Exeter transport fleet.
+ Co-operate on all matters concerned with Health, Safety, Training, Legislation and the Environment.
+ Compliance with all transportation sector legal requirements.
+ To recommend to the Operations Manager ways in which the company can improve profitability and operating effectiveness.
+ The achievement of fleet utilisation and availability targets.
+ To ensure that customer deliveries are planned and resourced efficiently ensuring deliveries are made on time and in full.
+ To manage the fleet costs ensuring costs are within budget for Exeter and to minimise hired haulage spend.
+ You will be an active member of the Exeter Ops team and provide assistance and cover as and when required, particularly for absence and holidays.
+ Assist with administrative duties as required
We Are Looking For:
The successful candidate will have proven transport and scheduling skills, balanced with excellent leadership skills. You will be an efficient communicator and have the ability to influence, inspire and motivate others to reach higher standards and performance. You will be customer focused, having numerical, analytical and computer skills second to none. You will have the ability to work under pressure, delegate tasks and get the very best from the team.
Experience of SAP would be advantageous and a CPC certificate would be desirable.
