Test Engineer
Inspire Resourcing are excited to be recruiting for an experience Test Engineer to join this well established company based in chesterfield.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the Test Manager, this role provides an exciting opportunity to join a team involved in the test and repair of a wide variety of electronic assemblies. Functional test of both new and existing product, both at the PCB level and the completed instrument level is a key part of the role, and this is typically undertaken using a variety of test equipment and fixtures. The role will also encompass peripheral activities such as the ability to record and review test data with a view to looking at fault analysis and working with other stakeholders to drive process improvement and increased yield.
Duties will include:
• Undertake the testing a wide variety of electronic assemblies, from discrete PCB's to finished product.
• Be able to fault find and repair product both at the PCB level and finished product.
• To be able to record test results accurately.
• Be able to review test data and determine opportunities for improvement in yield and process performance.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
• Must possess strong technical skills, and be able to fault find at the PCB level. The ability to interpret a schematic circuit diagram is therefore critical.
• Must have some degree of manufacturing experience, and be able to repair PCB assemblies.
• Must be capable of multi-tasking, and be able to manage multiple activities at once.
• Must have be an effective communicator and be able to provide accurate information to relevant stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Must be capable of working to deadlines, and be capable of delivering agreed schedules of work on-time.
• Must have good analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Must be IT literate with excellent working knowledge of standard office tools, e.g. Word and Excel
• Must be able to use initiative and work independently and proactively.
This is a permanent full time position working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (no weekends).
Salary GBP20,000 - GBP23,000 depending on experience.
