About You

You will work across a wide geographical area, covering Cheshire and Merseyside for all pre-registration nursing students and Central Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside for all Allied Health Professional students so an ability to travel across these areas is essential. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work flexibly within a team as well as show initiative to work independently across all aspects of health and social care education.

Your Qualifications & Experience

You will be an experienced qualified practitioner or academic with relevant experience within any field of nursing or allied health, but with demonstrable prior experience of supporting learners in practice and within a higher education environment.

To be successful you will have, at minimum, a relevant first degree, current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council or The Health and Care Professions Council, and a commitment to engage in teaching, research and advanced scholarship.

About the Role

The role focuses upon supporting students whilst undertaking practice placement learning. We have an established reputation for excellent nurse education programmes providing a very high quality student experience, as reflected in our exceptional NSS scores.

You will support students in a range of practice learning contexts across a defined geographical placement circuit. You will be expected to make a contribution to research in line with Faculty research themes, but if you're an early career academic you have no need to worry all themes have successful research leaders who play a key role in supporting and developing you to further enhance your research profile.

You will join a team of established Practice Education Lecturers who play a unique role and have a track record of enhancing the student experience Successful applicants will join a dynamic and innovative team and will make a major contribution to the leadership, management and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes.
