3,600 exceptional homes need one outstanding Surveyor.
Teign Housing is a successful social landlord employing over 90 ambitious, committed people, responsible for managing more than 3,600 homes across South Devon. You will make certain that our homes achieve their fullest potential as you provide a professional surveying service spanning repairs, maintenance and improvement – giving you huge impact on the lives of our residents.
Initially concentrating on our heating contract and asbestos management and survey programme, you will ensure we comply with best practice and evolving legislation in everything we do. We will look to you to progress projects from conception to completion, with responsibility for managing colleagues and contractors, liaising with customers and achieving best practice, so you will need exceptional organisational, interpersonal and technical skills plus a high level of commercial acumen.
Preparing work specifications and schedules, completing design drawings and procuring services should be second nature to you, and you will be fully familiar with obtaining building regulation and planning approval where required. RICS or CIOB membership would naturally be useful, alongside an understanding of partnering contracts and social housing legislation, and you will ideally be familiar with energy assessment systems, CAD software and CDM regulations. However, it’s your meticulous attention to detail, your commitment to continuous improvement and your passion for giving our residents great homes that will matter most.
