Senior QS

Large Civil Engineering and direct works contractor is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to add to their existing team.

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate the ability to produce accurate monthly cost and value reports and financial forecasts for project ranging between GBP1M & GBP10M projects and have previous experience of working on live projects.

Desirable applicants will also have experience of allocating and implementing multi-million pound sub contracts, measurement and valuation, being able to negotiate with clients and sub contractors, resolving disputes, final accounts and where necessary mentoring and developing staff.

Experience of Civils, Infrastructure, Highways, familiarity with NEC or ICE form of contract is highly desirable for the role.

Knowledge of value engineering and preparing procurement schedules would also be advantageous. The company supports membership of the RICS and will work with employees to advance membership if not already chartered.
