Role Objective:
To manage and control our Clients Transport Requirements via a dedicated Core fleet, the Circle Express Network and various sub-contractors. To Ensuring operational and compliance. Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve operating quality and efficiency of the depot. Supervise other members of staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Being a point of contact for the depot
• Managing the operations to make sure policies and procedures are followed
• Efficiently utilising the available resources to deliver excellent service to customers
• The coverage of staff roles due to holiday or sickness
• In co-operation with managers promote the interest and profile and develop the overall
profitability growth of Circle Express
• Acting professionally and confidently at all times
Key Requirements:
• Proven experience as a supervisor / manager in logistics sector
• In depth knowledge of logistics and freight forwarding function
• Ability to handle pressure in unforeseen circumstances
• Demonstrate leadership quality with a hands on approach
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Strong decision making skills
• Highly organised and possess excellent time management skills
People & Communication:
• Developing positive relationships with colleagues and team members and supporting the
Management team in attaining their goals
• Establishing and maintaining the trust and support of colleagues, managers and teams
• Obtaining and processing information to enable appropriate decisions to be made
• Ensuring accurate storage and prompt retrieval of information
• Ensuring individuals, teams, colleagues, managers and clients are advised of appropriate
information
• Ensuring good verbal and written dialogue with internal and external contacts/users
Health & Safety/Training/Quality
• Assisting when required in the induction and appropriate training of individuals
• Promoting and adhering to good working practices and procedures with particular reference to
the Company’s BSI/ISO standards
• Acting responsibly towards colleagues and team members in relation to regulations and
requirements in respect of Health and Safety and Aviation Security
• Maintaining personal hygiene to a standard expected of yourself and your colleagues
Training & Development
• Department induction - Level CO Aviation Security Hazardous Awareness
Knowledge & Skills:
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure in busy fast-paced environment
• Team player as well as able to work independently
• Hard-working, flexible
• Aviation Security knowledge desirable
Salary: Up to £30,000 per Annum DOE

Reporting to: Senior Key Account Manager
Based at: Clients Premises in Feltham
Working Hours: 06:00 – 17:00 Monday - Friday
