Where is it you want me to volunteer?
The Reading Together Group takes place on Tuesday afternoons at the Salvation Army, 57 - 63 Shakespeare Street, Southport.
What will I be doing?
Our reading group is an enjoyable, friendly place for people with dementia, their carers and volunteers to get together, socialise and read together.
Volunteers help us in many ways and engage with our clients in a warm, supportive and empathetic manner. Volunteers also welcome people with dementia and their carers as they arrive, assist with refreshments, and help with reading activities
What are we looking for?
Someone who enjoys the company of others, is a warm, caring person and likes to read.
When is the group run?
The Reading Group sessions run on Tuesdays from 2pm - 4pm.
