Assistant Accountant
Salary/Rate: From GBP23,000 to GBP25,000 per annum based on hours & experience
Location: Warminster
Ward Goodman Limited
A large independent accountancy practice within Dorset is looking for a Experienced Assistant Accountant to work 35 hours per week for a client providing educational services based in Warminster.
This Assistant Accountant role will include the following duties;
•Assisting the Management Accountant with the preparation and presentation of monthly accounts with budget variance
•Monthly bank reconciliation
•Monthly balance sheet controls
•Supporting with purchase ledger and weekly payments
•Supporting with sales ledger and credit control
•Supporting with petty cash for multiple sites
•Collate monthly payroll information and posting of monthly wage journals
•Processing credit card expenses
•The candidate may be required to carry out additional accountancy tasks as and when required
The successful candidate should be confident, self motivated, show initiative and able to work on their own and as part of a team. They should be confident in dealing with staff from all levels within an organisation.
This role will require;
- Sage Line 50 experience
- Excel skills - Advanced would be an advantage
