Lecturer in Business & Management (3 posts)

Salary - GBP32,548 - GBP37,706 per annum

Full time, permanent opportunity

York St John University is an ambitious, modern university at the heart of historic York and there's never been a more exciting time to join us. After investing over GBP110 million in our campus and facilities, establishing nine schools across multiple expertises and developing a suite of attractive, contemporary courses, we've seen the biggest rise across all English universities in UCAS acceptances this year.

York Business School is expanding rapidly and is at the heart of the University's growth and international development strategies. It provides a varied portfolio of multi-disciplinary degrees and masters programmers to both UK based and overseas students.

The School is seeking to recruit high caliber academics who will actively contribute to the design, development, delivery and assessment of programmers at both undergraduate and post graduate level.

The successful candidate will have strengths in an area of Business and Management that complements the School's teaching activities, and should be able to teach across a range of areas. Experience of teaching in one of the following areas Leadership, Strategic Management, Hospitality, Tourism and Events Management or Economics would be a significant advantage. Academics with experience of other business areas are also welcome.

You will contribute to the teaching of a range of Business and Management related modules. Applications are particularly welcome from (but not limited to) candidates with a strong understanding of teaching in a UK Higher Education environment.

You will need to demonstrate excellent team working skills and a commitment to enhancing the student experience. You will be expected to provide high quality teaching and learning across all levels of undergraduate and postgraduate taught curriculum and should evidence successful relevant teaching experience.

For an informal discussion about the post please contact Mr. David Norris, Deputy Dean on or email
