A public sector emergency services provider located in Camden are looking for a Finance Manager to join their busy team on a permanent basis.

You will be an experienced Finance Manager/Business Partner who can support the Financial Business Partner in developing strategies and provide a proactive financial management service to budget holders, influencing business decision making and maintain financial control over their financial resources throughout the year.

You will be involved in a variety of aspects in the financial planning and budget management for the department. You will be accountable for management accounts of up to circa £60 million per annum. Promoting financial governance and control over company assets with budget holders, staff and officers, identifying and mitigating against area of weakness. You will be responsible for development and delivery of monitoring reports, financial reporting and analysis for Budget Holders, COG, to support financial decision making. You will be responsible for the annual preparation of budgets up to £60m. You will be responsible with budget holders for developing a five-year financial strategy circa £0.5bn. You will also be responsible for developing (with budget holders) savings plans included in the medium term financial plan circa £3m

Good communications skills are a must as well as strong innovative leadership skills and a proactive attitude. A key part of this role is influencing stakeholders to embrace the realities of their budgets so the ideal applicant will have previous business partnering experience and the ability to manage relationships with senior staff. You will have a positive approach to your work and be looking to add value to the department. You will enjoy collaborating with other members of the team.

To be considered for this role you will need to be at intermediate level Excel, with at least 2-3 years accounting experience including managing a team. Please note due to the vetting processes in place you will need to have been a permanent resident in the UK for the last 5 years. At a minimum you will need to be part qualified in ACCA or an equivalent qualification.

Salary £36,844 + £2495 London Travel Allowance.
