This large, diverse secondary school in Solihull rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted are currently looking for an enthusiastic Physics Graduate to join their school as a Learning Mentor/Teaching Assistant from September.

My client is a high achieving school that demands the best from both its pupils and teaching staff. Your excellent knowledge across the sciences and in particular physics will be used to good advantage supporting a small number of pupils in the subject. As well as your degree speciality you should have a good knowledge of general science in order to offer the best possible support to this one pupil.

You will be well supported in your role as a Physics Graduate Teaching Assistant by the head of the faculty and other teaching staff. This will give you the opportunity to gain invaluable classroom experience and learn best practice prior to studying to be a teacher, whichever route you take.

For the right candidate there is the opportunity, in 2018, to join one of the school's School Direct teacher training places, giving you the opportunity to gain qualified teacher status at one of Solihull's finest schools.
