Junior Outerwear Designer

A well established high street supplier are looking for a junior outerwear designer to join their team. They are looking for someone who has previous experience working for a supplier or retailer with production out of both Europe and China. Main Responsibilities Will Include:

Working across all areas of outerwear including wool, rainwear and padded.
Working closely with the design team, sales and the in-house technical team.
Creating commercial, on trend product for the high street .
Visiting customers, presenting products from the range.
Following design briefs specific to customer requirements.
Designing and overseeing ranges tailored to key customers.
Carry out trend research and using findings to develop the range.
Liaising with overseas sample rooms.
Inspirational shopping trips in UK and abroad.

Skills Required:

2/3 years + experience working on outerwear.
Commercially aware with excellent trend knowledge.
Confident when attending customer meetings.
Cloth knowledge/strong sourcing skills from Europe and China.
Strong organisational skills
Fully computer literate including Photoshop
