Candidate specification
- master degree in mechanical engineering
- previous knowledge of both solar PV and ocean energy
- experienced on MW solar PV projects
- technical advisory experience within a consultancy
- previous project management experience particularly with consultancy assignments
- experience of technical and financial feasibility studies, technical due diligence and construction and operations monitoring
- previous experience using GIS and PVsyst software
- ability to carry out resource and energy yield assessments including loss estimation
- Knowledge of contract and technology reviews
Job description
To act as a graduate renewable energy engineer (solar) for medium to large scale solar PV projects internationally.
The role is varied in its nature and will include: -
- providing technical advisory services to clients
- technical due diligence for developers and investors
- owner's engineering (construction supervision) and design services
In this role you'll be given hands-on and project management responsibilities for delivering world class projects around the world.
A degree in mechanical engineering and previous experience with a solar consultancy is essential. The candidate must be keen to join a dynamic team working on major solar developments worldwide.
Main responsibilities:
- build and maintain client relationships and inform them of Mott MacDonald's solar capabilities
- organise the required inputs for feasibility studies
- proposal preparation
- project management
- technical due diligence
- resource and energy yield assessments
The renewable energy engineer would work as part of the multi-disciplinary solar division. Overseas travel would be expected including visits to remote locations. Periods overseas may be required.
