Interim Payroll Analyst - Challenging Role, Experienced Senior

One of the City's leading financial services firms is looking for a highly experienced Payroll Analyst to join them on an interim basis for approximately 6 months. The role is to cover a period of absence and will no doubt look great on your CV and enhance your future career prospects.

Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

• End to end process of 5 complex monthly payrolls working as part of a team
• Check and reconcile deductions from pay
• Work with stakeholders including Pensions, Finance and third parties to allocate costs and reconcile payroll outputs
• Advise the management team on issues of pay, statutory regulations, tax, national insurance and other deductions
• Interpret legislation and regulations to management team
• Liaise with external agencies to plan new initiatives including HMRC and Treasury
• Produce and review remuneration reports including headcount and management information
• Produce, update and maintain payroll procedures and process maps

Skills & Experience Required:

• Educated to Degree level or CIPP qualified to diploma level
• Experience of working in a Senior Payroll position in a large, complex organisation
• End to end processing of monthly payrolls
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience of reconciling payroll reports and knowledge of cost-centres and management information
• Significant experience of interpreting payroll rules and regulations
• Excellent communication skills
