LOCATION: Carshalton, Surrey
JOB TITLE: Third Party / Personal Injury Claims Handler
SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive salary depending on experience.
WORKING HOURS: 9am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday with a Saturday morning (3 hours) on a rota (less than once a month)
THE COMPANY: Our client is a growing niche motor insurer based in Carshalton, Surrey seeking to expand our existing team; this is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidates to join their well established and successful business.
THE ROLE: Working as part of their Third Party / Personal Injury claims team this would involve on a daily basis receiving new claims, investigating liability, indemnity, validity of the claims with a view to dealing with them efficiently and to a satisfactory conclusion for an insurance company who specialises in Hire and Reward.
Key Responsibilities of a Third Party / Personal Injury Claims Handler to include:-
• Assessing third party property damage including Total loss, Vehicle repairs and Uninsured loss claims
• Valuing general damages independently without the aid of system based
• Using valuation tools, using the Judicial College Guide Lines
• Assessing Special Damage claims including, Vehicle repairs Credit Hire, Credit Repair, loss of earnings and all uninsured loss claims
THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will have ability to work quickly and accurately in a high volume, busy environment. They will hold excellent customer service skills with good attention to detail. The successful Third Party / Personal Injury Claims Handler person will have good negotiating skills ensuring losses are settled on best possible terms and will be good at making decisions, even while under pressure. Key experience essential for the role of Third Party / Personal Injury Claims Handler based in Carshalton, Surrey:
• Experience of dealing with Non-Personal Injury Third Party Claims or Personal Injury.
• Experience in assessing liability and knowledge of recent case law and RTA
• Experience of credit hire is preferred but not essential
• Will have experience using the MOJ (Ministry of Justice) portal
• We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2 years' experience handling personal injury claims (Personal Injury position).
• Any industry specific qualifications will be advantageous but not essential
