Staff Nurse (Band 5)
GBP22,128 - GBP28,746 + GBP2,000 welcome bonus (pro rata)

Magnetic is working with a national provider of elderly rehabilitation services, and we are recruiting for both permanent and bank Band 5 Staff Nurses in a rehab hospital near Bath, which did really well during a recent CQC visit.
With a mix of both full time, part time and bank posts on offer, you will either be based on a 31 bedded unit (with 8 dedicated stroke rehab beds) or on an inpatient 28 bedded Rehabilitation Unit. This is a busy ward based environment so your nursing skills should be up to date, they have high care standards and a good reputation, so candidates looking to be a part of this kind of quality driven setting are invited to apply.
In both of these settings, the Staff Nurse / Registered Nurse will provide intensive rehabilitation for predominately older people following episodes of acute illness and injury, with the aim to ensure timely discharge, however they do have patients from age 18 upwards
In this busy role, the Staff Nurse / Registered Nurse will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care. You will also work closely with therapists and social workers to ensure that patients are kept at the centre of the decision making process.
Staff Nurse / Registered Nurse requirements
•Level 1 Registered Nurse / Adult Nurse
•To carry out nursing tasks i.e. medicine rounds, dressings, clinical observation and patient care.
•Good assessment and record keeping skills
•Good communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
•Previously worked within a MDT and liaison with families/patients
•Previous experience working on a ward
•Previously worked with the older person and understands their needs
•Able to prioritise work load and manage own time
•Assertiveness, influencing and persuasive skills, ability to work on their own.
•Able to manage conflict and deal with change
•Highly motivated to develop skills and knowledge and those of their colleagues; actively participate in team development and learning.
