E-Commerce Manager - £25k - £28k Basic, OTE £35k


Brook Street are pleased to be working with a fantastic company based in Portsmouth. Our client are currently looking for an experienced E-Commerce Manager who will be responsible for developing new business through e-commerce using the companies` online shop to meet our client's Sales Targets. The successful candidate will be responsible for Marketing, Enquiries and Sales, Sales or Return and documented Information

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain the e-commerce website to generate sales to achieve sales targets
    Create and deliver a strategy to sell using e-commerce
  • Populate and maintain data on the online shop to include copywriting
  • Continually improve SEO to ensure high search engine ranking and increase traffic to site
  • Keep technology up to date and access available from various platforms (mobile, tablet, etc...)
  • Introduce additional functionally, such as product video, to enhance the site
  • Great e-mailings with new catalogue, special offers, promotions increase customers loyalty
  • Ensure the security of all online data for both payments and customer details
  • Review site metrics to improve sales and identify purchasing trends
  • Complete regular competitors comparisons and report back on pricing comparisons
  • Assist with new product launches
  • Promote sales on other sites i.e. Google shopping, Facebook Market place, EBay, Amazon
  • Administration activities
  • Process e-commerce orders on system
  • Keep customers / prospects database and files up to date and tidy to ensure a full record of activities is available on CRM
  • Participate to a daily routine of the office (e.g. Answer the phone, take messages, and cover for colleagues on leave...)
  • Maintain effective records as per requirements of ISO systems
  • Assist and cover holiday of marketing managers to include packaging, manual and newsletters
  • Assist with exhibitions as required
  • Report to management ion regular basis
  • Monitoring/ Reports
  • Generation of weekly e-commerce activity report for weekly meeting
  • Monitor monthly sales figures v sales target

This would suit someone who has worked previously in a Business Development, E-commerce, or Sales Manager role with online advertising, marketing and CRM experience and who has a passion for developing a sales strategy to exceed targets.

Our client is looking to hold interviews immediately with a start as soon as possible. Their working hours are 9-5 Monday to Friday with 1 hour lunch. Holiday allowance is 20 days plus 8 bank holidays, which will increase with service.
