Our client's Partnership Compliance Team is seeking to recruit an Asbestos Surveyor into a newly created position having recently decided to bring the provision of asbestos management services in-house.

Asbestos Surveyor
Salary: £32,000 per annum
Based: Billericay, Essex
(with travel to other locations)

Duties will include:

  • Leading on the delivery of an asbestos survey programme for the Association’s housing stock undertaking management and refurbishment/ demolition surveys in buildings compliant with HSG264.
  • Undertaking bulk sampling and liaising directly with an approved laboratory
  • Producing reports, collecting data, completing material and priority assessments and producing action plans
  • Programming, organising and managing remedial and/or removal works
  • Maintain an updated asbestos register
  • Assist with the provision of training on working safely with asbestos

The candidate must hold a minimum BOHS P402 certification and have extensive knowledge of UK legislation and best practice relating to asbestos in particular the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.  You will have a minimum 3 years’ experience in the asbestos surveying industry and be able to work as part of a team and to own initiative whilst maintaining a high standard of work ensuring that deadlines of the business are met.

A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle or driver is vital for this role.
