Could you help lead the NHS in your area?
NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Clinical Commissioning Group is responsible for commissioning healthcare for people living in Rochdale Borough. This means that local GPS and healthcare professionals are at the forefront of commissioning services in a way which delivers improved health, better clinical outcomes, excellent patient experience, improved productivity and minimises health inequalities.
To drive this work forward the CCG is looking to appoint a Lay Member for Governance. You will need an awareness of the borough, substantial experience or awareness of board level work and its responsibilities, strong strategic skills and a personal track record of achievement in your own field.
The role will have specific remits:-
- To lead on governance arrangements, ensuring that the systems of internal control on governance and financial management are properly established
- To be the Audit Committee Chair and Conflicts of Interest Guardian
You will need to demonstrate robust and balanced judgement, analytical skills, sensitivity, excellent communication skills and have a strong team working approach.
The time commitment for this role is an average of 2.5 days per month at £10,000 pa.
It is desirable that applicants live in or have strong connection with the CCG’s borough. We also welcome applications from those living in the surrounding areas if they have relevant experience.
