06:00 – 14:00 (Saturday and Sunday)
Our client currently has an opportunity for a Packing Team Leader to join their team in Wythenshawe.
The Role
The role will be reporting into the Logistics and Packing Manager and be based at the Manchester manufacturing facility where you will oversee the day to day activity of the manual packing, H.O.W and Sorting Operations. The role will be a driving force for continuous improvement initiatives through the use of lean tools. In liaison with the Packing Manager, you will identify and the training needs within the shift and agree training plans for them. You will be required to present performance data to the shift on a weekly basis, review individuals performance data to ensure that targets are met and subsequently produce and manage the Weekly Packing Bonus in accordance with the Packing Bonus Scheme. You will be responsible for the daily production and management of daily packing orders in accordance with current production using the Aurora ERP system and ensure the timely completion of packing orders in line with customer order dates.
The Person
The successful candidate will have the ability to motivate a team in order to meet business targets through clear and effective communication. You will be passionate about HSE and be a promoter of this within the team to ensure that HSE Standards are adhered to at all times. It is essential that you have a high attention to detail and be able to work calmly and effectively under pressure. Due to the nature of the role you will need excellent organisational skills and be able to adapt to changeable situations quickly and efficiently. In the role you will lead from the front in driving continuous improvement initiatives within the packing department. The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to work to the needs of the business.
