We have an exciting opportunity for Support Workers to provide essential and valuable care to children and young people who have learning difficulties; including autism in residential homes. Our client provides long term care and short term breaks for children and young people aged 8 to 18 years.
You'll be working closely to support them in their development and help give them the start in life they really need. Working as part of a team you'll carry out activities to encourage independence and socialising. This includes ensuring a safe and stimulating environment and promoting self-esteem.
We are looking for experience working with children and young people with autism and in dealing with challenging behaviour. Our minimum requirements are 6 months' experience with a relevant qualification or 12 months' experience without. We will also require an up-to-date enhanced DBS check, which we can assist you in applying for. A full UK driving licence is required.
For your hard work you'll receive a highly competitive wage rate, flexible shifts to fit around your schedule and the opportunity to develop and grow your skills.
For this role we are offering between £8.00 and £8.50 per hour.
