The Company

Welsh Slate is a dynamic natural stone manufacturer operating from both the Bethesda, Nantlle and Blaenau Ffestiniog areas. The Company sells a wide range of slate products including Roofing, Aggregates, Architectural and craft goods to the UK and overseas markets.

Following a successful 2016 the company intends to consolidate its position as the leading UK natural slate producer and remains the solution of choice for all appropriate building projects by taking on the following roles.

The Roles

We are looking for the following positions

• Skilled architectural operatives for our Bethesda operation.
• Hard landscape operatives to work between all our operational sites
• Temporary operatives 2-3 month contracts

The above roles require hands on approach to complement our bespoke and finishing department that make an extensive variety of natural stone products from our own raw slate materials.

We need persons that are able to competently use saw systems to fabricate high quality architectural slate products.

The ideal candidates should be skilled in the use of hand held tools generally associated with the fabrication of architectural and craft products and also skilled in joints and the application of adhesives.

The hard landscape operators will be expected to travel between all three sites to select and work our natural slate products - a full-clean driving licence is essential.

Candidates should have the above skills and competences, however other skills associated with the architectural environment would be considered.
