HOUSING OFFICER - Communal Services
12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Full time, 35 Hours per week
Salary scale: £23,290 - £28,419

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate that they can manage a busy and varied workload, meet tight deadlines, work effectively as part of a team and be committed to excellent customer service and equality and diversity. Ideally, the candidate will have experience of carrying out a similar generalist housing officer role.

Key responsibilities of this post include: -

- Managing circa 280 homes, including proactive management of rent arrears.
- Proactive handling of void properties, lettings and terminations.
- Dealing with anti-social behaviour and issues affecting the community
- Resident and community involvement
- Estate management
- Providing benefits advice
- Court casework

It is essential you are a car driver and have access to your own transport to be considered for this post.

Objective of the Post:

- To provide advice, assistance, support and guidance to the associations tenants to help them maintain their tenancy in an appropriate manner.
- To maximise the amount of income collected by the association through efficient income management action.
- To act on behalf of the association to enforce the terms and obligation placed on tenants within their tenancy agreement.
- To manage and optimise the use of the properties managed by the association.
- To implement the association's policies and procedures in respect of Housing Services.
- To adopt and follow best practice and customer principles.
- To meet the performance standards and achieve the targets set
