They now have an opportunity for an Allocations Coordinator to join them at their Head Office based in Cheadle Hulme.

As an Allocation Coordinator, you will be responsible for carrying out all activities needed to allocate empty homes efficiently and quickly by advertising vacancies, finding new tenants and liaising closely with Housing Officers to arrange applicant assessments, viewings and sign ups.

Collaborating with maintenance, marketing and other teams to ensure rent loss due to empty properties is kept to a minimum, you must match interested parties to properties in a fair manner and process terminations and new tenancies promptly; working with local authorities to ensure that nomination targets are met and their homelessness targets achieved.

To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate experience of delivering effective, efficient, customer focused services and a commitment to achieving excellent performance results.  Able to hit the ground running and with a KPI driven and target orientated background, you must be able to work on your own initiative but also well as part of a team.

With experience gained of working within the Social Housing sector and of utilising web-based Social Housing allocations programme being of benefit to the role, you must have a good standard of education and be able to think creatively to formulate solutions and suggest service improvements.  This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is looking to build a career within the business, so they are keen to hear from individuals who are looking for progression and development in their role.

Essentially, you must have strong negotiation and influencing skills, an awareness of the issues surrounding working with vulnerable adults and experience of using information technology for a range of different purposes.
