High value Tower, resides within Corporate Payment technology Division. The Tower is responsible to manage and implement any new changes on the Corporate High value Payment platforms which are GPP EU, UK, US and ICC .

Role Purpose

• Understand the current Barclays Payments operations (As-is) and ensure this is reflected into the 'to-be' process
• Ensure understanding of the Bank and Payments strategy, and priorities within the team
• Understand the process for assessing the impact of changes on requirements and how they are managed
• Ensure requirements are produced towards common templates, methodologies, standards and repositories
• Deliver the Business Requirements and the maintenance and version control of those requirements within an appropriate repository
• Deliver Functional Requirements and the maintenance and version control of those requirements within an appropriate repository
• Ensure the Functional Solution meets the business requirements
• Support the technical designs and the definition of the system configuration for Payments where system applicable.
• Provide support to the implementation strategy of the overall programmer based on business and functional expertise
• Provide support to the operations delivery work-stream in terms of the training programs and support during the functional / operational training sessions
• Provide support and input to the overall definition of the functional and UAT test scripts and subsequent execution
• Participate in management team meetings and provide advice regarding key impact of new/changed requirements, as well as overall performance of the E2E process
• Maintain detailed awareness of, takes fully into account as necessary, and promote throughout the organization, any relevant statutory, internal or external regulations, standards and codes of good practice. Contribute to the definition of such regulations, standards and codes
• Complies with architectural standards, quality standards and policies

Person Specification
Essential

• Proven background as a Business Analyst within Payments programs for example Payment Engines, Billing, Balance check etc
• Up to date with developments in individual area of expertise and will be expected to keep abreast of emerging technologies and potential for application within the Bank
• Previous proven experience in process Management
• Previous proven experience in training design & delivery supporting Ops/Implementation team
• Track record of delivering high-quality deliverables
• Wide range of proven analytical abilities
• Experience on a number of IT and Business Projects (not necessarily gained in a Payments environment)
• Proven experience on complex financial service environments
• Sound knowledge of Correspondent Banking and High Value Chaps, EBA, Target 2 schemes for customer/bank transfers.

Preferred

• Educated to Degree level or equivalent relevant professional experience
• Knowledge of High Value payments solutions
• Knowledge of Non-European Payment schemes
• Experience in some of the main Payment Software Providers (FundTech, Dovetail, Clear2Pay,Montran),
• Formal qualification/accreditation in business analysis disciplines
• Expertise of structured BA Methodologies and tools (Requisite Pro, Rational Requirements Composer)
