Position: Technical Sales Support Manager
Location: Manchester office-based with UK travel (to meet clients, all costs will be reimbursed)
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Job type: Permanent
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Support sales team and customers with technical guidance, assistance and design. Assist with project management and implementation of both pre and post sales.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide product training updates to staff & partners.
Be available for on-site meetings with partners and end users.
Distribute new product and vendor updates (internally & externally)
Identify opportunities with partners and develop with Sales.
Primary technical contact for all partners, including face to face meetings.
Pro-actively build relationships with partners & vendors technical teams.
Directly support Sales teams, partners and end users with solution design, both on site and remotely.
Manage technical/complex projects from inception to final design in liaison with Sales.
Write design to Unistar SCT and share to sales admin & account manager.
Organize and attend site surveys.
Identify additional resource from vendor or Utopia team.
Liaise with partner/end-user post installation to ensure satisfaction.
Manage all pre-sales support questions.
Assist with any post sales issues.
Technically evaluate all new products from existing vendors.
Undertake relevant vendor training to become familiar with new technologies and products
Any other duties as necessary to the role
QUALIFICATIONS / RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
Proven track record in a pre-sales role
Must have or be willing to attain Industry recognized accreditations to professional level or willing to work towards them e.g. Huawei HCNP
Hold face to face meetings with resellers and end users.
Ability to produce technical schematics using AutoCAD or similar packages
Working knowledge of IT Networking, Data Security, Storage and other relevant technologies such as AV over IP.
Experience of designing and implementing IoT based solutions would be advantageous.
Qualifications such as ITIL, Prince2 and similar would be a benefit
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Experience in a similar level role
Knowledge of IT Networking, Data Security, Storage and other relevant technologies such as AV over IP.
Ability to produce technical schematics using AutoCAD or similar packages
Huawei HCNP - highly preferrable
Looking for someone with technical experience and worked / working at AMX, Crestron or Kramer.
Development and training plan will be put in place for candidates to achieve any further accreditations
New role in the company working closely with the field sales team
