Planning Manager

Salary for the position is £30-35K

Job Elements

·To coordinate, forecast and plan production requirements to support client demand and ensure all manufacturing standards are complied with.

·Actively manage the Master Production Schedule

·Ensure all Production requests are well scoped and sufficiently detailed for accurate planning.

·Schedule and lead planning meetings with internal stakeholders.

·Liaise with relevant departments for availability of materials for scheduled Production.

·Communicate Production performance to Senior Management monthly including Conformance to Build Plan and Budget versus Actual.

·Liaise with Technical Team to manage any planned maintenance of Production area in accordance with the Production plan.

·Deliver Continuous Improvement/Process Improvement projects with the aim to improve efficiencies and effectiveness.

·Ensure appropriate operational resources are allocated to perform tasks and activities.

·Collect and review process data for improvement purposes and corrective actions.

The ideal candidate will have:

·Minimum 5 GCSE’s grade A-C.

·Minimum 5 years practical experience working within a similar Planning supervisory level role within a manufacturing industry with a thorough understanding of Production Planning and Demand Management.

·MRP experience is essential

·Supervisory experience and leadership skills.

·Excellent communication skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels throughout the business

·IT Literate, demonstrating strong use of Excel.

·Experience using Sage 200 is desirable but not essential.

·Experience in CI with the ability to lead process improvements driving for team success.
