Excellent opportunity to join a leading UK manufacturer of bespoke steel doors and security products.
Main Responsibilities:
The duties and tasks performed will be varied but will include:
- Reviewing project files received from estimating and seeking necessary clarification if required.
- Reviewing product compliance to clients/architect's latest construction issue details
- Liaise with project coordinators/site managers if a survey is required
- Upon completion of survey, meet with the site manager to review survey to ensure clarity.
- Whilst scheduling phased projects review the technical detail/spec for compliance to the product we are offering and seek clarification with any ambiguity between the architects details, our offer and production.
- On phased projects ensure the specified hardware is correct raising any ambiguity with the hardware supplier/customer and or engineer.
- Regularly review 'A' site for latest details and ensure we are working the latest revision of all details.
- Produce working door schedule specific to our supply highlighting any deviations from initial spec/compliance.
- Review approved project for variations 'add & omit' and enter detail on variation sheet for re-measure and capture.
- Attend design coordination meetings when necessary with client/architect to help progress project.
- Update works schedule and drawings to 'As Built' status on all supply and install projects once installation is complete for inclusion in the O&M.
- Assist with technical calls from both clients and external sales
- The job holder will do all tasks within his/her level of ability.
Essential skills, qualifications and knowledge:
- Good computer skills
- Good planning skills
- Good customer/client interaction
- Familiar with Microsoft Office especially Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Ability to adapt to different tasks and work flexibly
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Experience in sheet metal and fabrication desirable
- Full driving licence and willing to drive to site locations.
