Senior Avaya IP Office Enginner

Location: Bristol
Job title: Senior Technical Lead.
Experience required: Avaya IP Office
Benefits: Basic salary up to £35,000 + Car + bonus (negotiable depending on experience)

Our client is a successful, fast growing business primarily operating in the fixed line voice and data market for SME's. The company specialises in the design, implementation and on-going support of unified IP communication systems for clients across the UK. The business has built a strong reputation for reacting quickly to client's needs and delivering excellent customer service.

There is now a requirement for an Avaya IP Office engineer to join the team as the Senior Technical Lead. This is a mixed and varied role and will involve Pre Sales, Product Development, 3rd line support and Installations.

Summary of Position:

To be the company's technical lead on all engineering matters.

The key areas of this role are:

*Customer projects from planning, system installation and customer training
*Work on supporting SLA 2 and 3 tickets and assisting the support desk where and when required
*Working in pre-sales support to help design customer solutions and carry out system demonstration
**Keep up to date with latest releases in the product portfolio and lead on educating all departments on new technologies

Primary Responsibilities

*Providing pre-sales support. Including attending customer meetings, drafting sales documentation and pricing for larger and more complex projects
*Being the technical expert for on-site project installation, actual installation, and ensuring that work is carried out to the expected standard.
*To provide or organise end user training for clients.
*To take the lead on new product developments within our portfolio by recommending to the Director potential new products for support.
* Maintaining our accreditations for the products we offer and. Issuing product updates and supporting other departments in continuously improving their product knowledge.
*Advising colleagues (e.g. Sales and Engineering) on likely engineering time requirements for on-site work and product costs, technical feasibility etc. for quotations.
*Working with the Delivery Manager to ensure efficient and cost effective project planning and implementation.
*Continuous improvement champion
*Providing excellent customer service and responsiveness to second and third level support requests, including reporting, diagnosis of faults and liaising with manufacturers, third party engineers and suppliers, and customers.


*Providing second/third level support in fault finding preferably in telecoms systems.
*Experienced in networking and general IT.
*Experience of leading projects on installations. Staff Management experience in developing technical expertise for more junior staff.

Product Knowledge

*Avaya and Mitel systems
