Brook Street is currently working on behalf of our Global Technology Client to recruit a First Line IT Support This is a contract role until June 2018 based in Reading

Job Description

The IT Service Centre Support Specialists are the face of the global IT service organisation and play a pivotal role in the delivery of IT services. Highly visible in the centrally located Service Centre at our headquarters in Reading, the customer-facing Support Specialists provide advice, support and guidance, along with delivering a basic IT education training to staff across the company. This role is broad in its engagement with regards technology and audience and is ideal for someone looking to build a career in IT.

Specific duties include:


Counter Service
 Provide a friendly, accessible engagement model to clients during business hours.
 Provide advice and guidance to service centre visitors.
 Issue consumable items that best meet a user need from our own hardware range.
 Send every visitor away feeling helped.

Hardware Cascade Management
 Coordinate the collection and recording of details of hardware returned for refurbishment.
 Notify clients and provide a collection process for hardware.
 Support and maintain a client loan pool of both new Windows collection devices and refurbished systems
 Maintain UKs asset register by recoding all machine transactions.

Procurement and Management of Consumable Stocks
 Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of Service Centre consumables.
 Record and manage all devices collected.
Monitoring of Service Requests
 Monitor and responded to support request through both email and central ticketing.
 Assign work when need to other support team via the central ticketing system.
 Advise the Account Managers of service situations likely to become critical.

Desired Experience:

 Customer Service Experience (Pref. Technical)
 Experience using Computer Software, Hardware.

Salary: up to £23,000 per annum plus benefits
