Teaching Assistant
27.5 hours per week term-time only (including five staff training days)
Actual salary GBP9,796 - GBP10,457 (Full-time equivalent salary FTE GBP15,507-GBP16481 pa)
We have a vacancy for a teaching assistant in our Inclusion team with immediate effect. The position involves working with students who have a varied spectrum of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or Pastoral issues within a classroom setting or small groups. It is desirable, but not essential, for you to have experience of working in a SEN setting, particularly in a mainstream school. It would be useful if candidates are able to speak additional languages, but not essential, in order to work with EAL students.
The Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
