A brilliant opportunity has come along for an enthusiastic base operator for a busy taxi office, experience would be a bonus but not essential.This role offers the opportunity to gain many new skills and for the right person there is the prospect of additional responsibilities that would lead to an increase in pay.
Must have excellent, proven customer service skills and know your way around a computer as our dispatch system is fully computerised. A good professional telephone manner essential as would be dealing with many different account customers, the general public and of course drivers and co-workers. Admin skills would be useful in order to self organise and pass information to others where necessary. Ability to work on their own, have plenty of common sense and be a good decision maker. Be able to work under pressure and to have good time management. Be able to work well with others and take direction. Show commitment and loyalty to the company and show a willingness to learn.
Must be able to work flexible hours as we are a 365 day a year, 24/7 business. Ideally you should have a good local knowledge of the area to assist you in the role. You must be ready for a challenge and quick to learn.
I can not stress strongly enough, this is no 9-5 position,p lease ONLY apply if you are willing and able to work unsociable hours as following training you will be required to work shifts over a 24 hour period. Flexibility is key to this role and it is pointless applying if you can not comply with shift work.
A minimum of 30 hours per week initially but this can vary to cover holidays and sickness. Starting salary will be £8 per hour but this will increase to £8.30 at the end of the probationary period. Should additional responsibilities be added to the role a further review of pay will take place.
