Selwood Housing is a not-for- profit housing association with over 6,000 homes available
for renting at affordable prices in Wiltshire and Somerset. We also offer shared
ownership, help to buy and other schemes to provide a wide variety of homes for people
living in our communities.
We are looking for committed, enthusiastic and customer focused surveyors to join our
professional property team working across our delivery or assets sections.
The vacancies are in our assets team, so the main duties involve stock condition
surveys, options appraisals and validation surveys or in our delivery team where the key
duties will be around managing contracts and contractors, site surveys and managing
tenders and the tender process.
We have developed a three tier Property Surveyor person specification, so as a minimum
you will require a HNC in Building or Surveying (or equivalent experience) and
knowledge of construction or maintenance management.
The successful candidates will be team players, with the confidence and experience to
deal fairly and effectively with our customers and our contractors, including our in-house
repairs company. You will also have excellent interpersonal, IT and technical skills to
deliver high performing, efficient and effective services to our homes and customers.
