Scheduling Assistants
We have an great opportunity for two temporary Scheduling Assistants to join our Connections team based in Temple Point, Leeds (LS15). This is on a fixed term basis for circa 12 months.
- To support the Head of Connections in the execution of all connections work
- To be responsible for the scheduling of all connections work (standard and non-standard for Domestic and I&C customers)
- To schedule all connections work with DLO workforce, sub-contractors, repex contractors and DLO repair resources in order to minimise lead times for customers and maximise utilisation
You will be responsible for:-
- Assisting in the management all direct labour and sub-contractor resources
- Act as a champion for customer service / satisfaction
- Ensuring connection dates agreed with customers are achieved
- Responsible for the connections schedule of work to ensure it is fully utilised and minimises lead times for the customer
- Communicate with the programme management office in order to accelerate connection dates and optimise resources
- Ensure no backlog of workload
- Ensure swift execution of scheduling with customers within designated timelines
- Ensure all works carried out comply with conditions outlined by the Local Highways Authorities
- Ensure all connection dates given to customers are able to stand audit
- Continual development of customer techniques and role within department
Candidate Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Ideally GCSE's in Maths & English or equivalent
- Good interpersonal skills
- Have a good work ethic and willing to take on new responsibilities
- Able to adapt to change
- Be skilled in intranet and communication techniques
- Understanding of customer and commercial pressures
- Customer facing experience is preferred but not essential
- Prior experience of scheduling and resource management across short lead time activities, preferable but not essential
