This established Somerset secondary school has an immediate opening for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join its learning support team. This role is perfect for a Psychology graduate that wishing to develop their experience of supporting students with a diverse range of additional learning needs including autism or ADHD

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for supporting individual students, encouraging their engagement in learning, promoting positive behaviour and will be supported to deliver bespoke SEN interventions in the specialist centre and the mainstream academy.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Teaching Assistant with an in-depth understanding of strategies to support children with autism. Ideally, you will have proven experience of working with children with ASD and communication needs. The ability to communicate clearly with a diverse range of pupils and a patient, nurturing approach are essential for this role.
