The Role of Pressure Management Support Analyst:

We have a great opportunity for someone to join our Pressure Management team as a Pressure Management Support Analyst in Sunderland (SR3).

In this role you will support our Supply Strategy Support Manager and lead a small team who provide the pressure management operations within the Control Room which manages the safe and efficient delivery of gas to our customers.

Within this role you will:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the gas transportation network
  • Leadon the day to day activities of the Pressure Management team
  • Monitor and control District Governor pressures
  • Identify and report Governor and Pressure point to Maintenance teams
  • Produce MI based on pressure data used for leakage reporting
  • Prepare leakage related data for annual Leakage / Shrinkage reporting.
  • Optimise the RIIO leakage incentive mechanism
  • Represent NGN interests with external bodies at various industry forums

Essential Criteria

  • Higher education, preferably to a degree level, in a technical discipline (Industry experience will be considered)
  • High level numerical and mathematical ability
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and numerical
  • Strong team player, whilst also having the ability to work on their own initiative
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
  • Proactive attitude
  • A full UK driving license

Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge of appropriate Legislation, NGN Policies and Procedures
  • Knowledge of the gas network

The Package

  • Personal Contract - Permanent
  • Up to £35,000 per annum dependent upon skills & experience
  • 40 Hours per week
  • Bonus - Up to 10% based upon both personal & corporate objectives
  • SSP for first 5 working days, then occupational sick pay
